Dung Bui

Strategy is only worth what actually gets executed. That's the work Dung Bui owns.

Most clients arrive having been told what to do and left to do it themselves. Dung is the one who makes it real: reconciling what your W-2, your equity awards, and your brokerage statements actually add up to, catching the withholding problem before it becomes an April surprise, getting extensions and projections filed on time, and staying on the institutions until a transfer or a filing is genuinely complete rather than merely submitted.

He is also the second set of eyes clients say they've never had. Dung reviews what a household already owns before anyone proposes anything new — regularly finding accounts in better shape than the client feared, and just as often finding something heading toward trouble that nobody had flagged. He won't put a strategy in front of a client whose numbers he can't independently verify, and he'd rather say no than say maybe. When a client inherits a mess from a prior preparer, he's the one negotiating it down and getting the household back to stable.

Dung's depth is at the intersection of tax and structure: what your equity compensation will actually cost you, when debt should be restructured instead of accelerated, how entities and reporting should be set up as income grows, and how to fund long-term goals without creating a tax problem along the way.

Inside the firm he mentors advisors on case design, on the conviction that clients are best served by people who understand something well enough to explain it plainly — and to walk away from it when it doesn't fit.

Clients tend to describe his value the same way: someone finally made sure it got done.
